Transit in sight

Not that I don't think it is a necessity, but as my Mother used to say " They've been talking about that since I came to Detroit" That was in the latter 1920's!

Detroit actually had mass transit in the 1920s, and it looks set to have it once again in the 2020s. But you're right. It's been a long, long time coming.
